Join Kairo as a Business Developer (BD) and help businesses across Nigeria discover a smarter way to manage payments, sales and everyday business operations.

This is a field-driven role for people who are ambitious, persuasive, energetic and motivated by results.

What you'll do

As a Business Developer, you will:

  • Identify and prospect new businesses within your assigned territory.
  • Introduce businesses to Kairo and demonstrate how the platform works.
  • Onboard new businesses onto the platform.
  • Convert onboarded businesses into active Kairo users.
  • Build strong relationships with business owners and decision-makers.
  • Follow up with prospects and existing customers.
  • Drive referrals and new business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of your activities and performance.
  • Work closely with your Business Development Manager to achieve team goals.

What we're looking for

You should:

  • Have a minimum of OND from a recognized institution.
  • Be confident communicating with business owners and customers.
  • Be comfortable working in the field and meeting new people.
  • Have strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Be target-driven and self-motivated.
  • Be willing to learn and grow.
  • Have basic digital literacy.
  • Have previous sales, business development, fintech or field marketing experience — an advantage, but not mandatory.
